Leather Hide & Scrap began as a small personal project after more than 15 years working in the leather, textile, and furniture industries. During those years, I spent time inside tanneries, learned how different hides are prepared, and worked closely with manufacturers around the world. The experience shaped my understanding of materials and how they are used in real, everyday projects.
After moving away from the corporate side of the industry, I wanted to stay connected to the craft — but in a way that felt more hands-on and accessible. That’s how Leather Hide & Scrap came to life: a place where creators of all levels can find practical leather pieces without complicated sourcing or large minimum orders.
Everything in Leather Hide & Scrap — from scrap pieces to full sheets — comes from trusted tanneries and suppliers I’ve worked with for many years. I personally sort, cut, and prepare each piece so makers can work with consistent, usable materials for their projects.
Our collection includes: Leather scraps, Leather sheets, Coasters, Patches, Small craft pieces
Each item is handled in-house, with attention to sizing, texture, and suitability for different types of craft work.
Leather Hide & Scrap operates on a simple approach: keep things straightforward and transparent.
No bulk requirements, no complicated processes — just pieces that creators can use for DIY projects, small business production, experiments, or daily crafting needs.
Every order is packed by hand, allowing me to stay closely connected to both the materials and the people using them.
Our goal is to make leather more approachable for hobbyists, students, crafters, and small businesses. Whether someone is trying leather for the first time or refining an existing skill, we aim to offer materials that make the process easier to navigate.
Thank you for taking the time to visit Leather Hide & Scrap and support a small workspace. Working directly with makers is one of the parts I enjoy most.
If you ever have questions about leather types, project suitability, or general material guidance, I’m always open to help however I can.
